I currently have a Nikon D70 my wife bought for me many years ago. I’ve seen the D90 fly past with the introduction of video, and then the other Nikons that included auto-focus for video. Improvements are always on the horizon for Nikon. The D70 that I have is a beast and it is in nice condition and works just fine; but I’m looking to upgrade to the next level. I’m looking for something that has a better quality, better ISO adjustments, and can record video. I’m looking forward to doing still videos with my 50mm lenses. I’d love to get the Nikon 70-200 VR lenses, but that costs more than a camera…. so the lenses will have to wait till later.
By this point, you might be wondering what camera I’ve chosen… the Nikon D7000. The problem is that currently I don’t have enough dough to purchase it ($1200)….. So, part of this blog will journal the steps I’m taking to get to the $1200 needed.
Again, my Nikon D70 works just fine and I will definitely manage with it for now. Here’s a shot that I took yesterday on my D70 using a Nikon 50mm f/1.8…
